Batik Scrappy Sampler
It is time for another round of our infamous $5 quilt project! This session will feature assorted size blocks that will be made from beautiful hand dyed batik fabrics.
The 9 month program begins in October and the cost is just $5. You will receive a block pattern and the fabrics to make that block at the first meeting. Your job is to make the block using the fabrics provided and bring it with you to the next months meeting. If you block is complete you will receive the next block pattern and fabrics for the block absolutely FREE!
In addition to the required block and pattern each month we will include a second pattern for an optional block. If you complete the option block your name will be entered into a drawing for a door prize.
If you have to miss a month or don't complete the block in time for the meeting you can get back on track by paying a $5 fee.
At the end of the 9 month program you will receive a instructions for assembling the blocks into a quilt top. NEW this year is the option to increase the number of blocks each month to create an 84" by 108" sampler quilt.

BlockWatchers International Mystery
Our most popular club program is planning a "trip" and we are inviting you to come along! Club meetings are on the first Monday evening or the first Thursday morning of each month. Your $18 club dues entitle you to 4 meetings, Feb. through May, free handouts for a different project each month, and "EXTRA's" that include small projects, recipes and easy to make items.
If you are up for a fun filled adventure, pack your sewing bags, grab your sewing machine and get ready to "travel". We will visit a different country each month, without leaving home. karen will be your tour guide, provide your passport, and select your destinations.
Fabric kits for the featured project will be available to purchase. You will ahve the opportunity to "upgrade" your project to a larger size or join Karen for a "side trip" on the second Thursday of the month to actually sit and sew. We plan to "cross the border" as often as possible and have plans for very nice perks for the frequent flyers in our group.
Registration is required for this program, so don't hesitate, once all the seats are filled we will not have room for more!

BUS TRIP!
Join Debby for a relaxing and fun filled day at the Fall Festival held at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua New York. This all day trip will leave the shop at 6 am for the 2½ hour ride to the New York destination (including a rest stop along the way). You can sit back, relax and leave the driving and gas pump worries to the professional driver of our mini motor coach. Admission to the Festival and the cost of the 9am lecture with Eleanor Burns are included in the price of your trip.
After Ele's lecture (which includes a $5 coupon to spend in her booth) you are welcome to roam the beautiful grounds of the institute, with more than enough time to take in a variety of quilt shows and shop the assorted quilt vendors or permanent shops on the grounds. The quilt shows are held in a variety of buildings, all of which are easily accessible by walking or taking the free shuttle busses on the grounds.
Your buffet lunch will be provided at the historic Anthenaeum Hotel where you are welcome to dine in the antebellum dining room or on the wide veranda overlooking the lake. Spend the afternoon wandering the quilt shows, shops and vendors or simply sitting in one of the rockers overlooking the lake. The return trip to Pittsburgh will include a stop for dinner, on your own with the planned arrival back at the shop around 8:30 pm. Admission, lecture fee, lunch and transportation included!

Happy Hour
Every Monday evening June through August from 5pm - 7pm. Join us for drinks, demos, make-it take-it and the usual good time! Summer is made for fun. We've decided to make this one extra special with Happy Hour! Each Monday we will feature a different demo and make it take it, just for fun! The projects will include foiling, discharge dying, bead making, fabric printing, fusible fibers and lots more. Things that you may never try on your own. Stop by, get your fingers dirty, have a little fun!
There is no fee for the program, we just need to know that you plan to attend so that we can have your supplies available.
